Nuestra historia

Some things turn to gold slowly.

In 1982, Samuel Reyes opened Taquería Del Sol with his father and his brother. The family had come to Houston from Chicago, and they brought something precious with them: the cooking of Samuel’s mother, Consuelo.

More than forty years later, her recipes still run the kitchen. The tortas and gorditas they opened with are still on the menu, the panadería still fills the room with the smell of fresh bread, and Samuel now runs Del Sol with his four sons.
